Opened the front doors and took a few slow steps outside with a cane during therapy. :)
This my Speech and Swallowing Therapist Jenna handing me a cup of Apple Juice. I been cleared for regular liquids (that involved a camera up my nose while drinking and eating). I been craving Apple Juice since ICU. Lunch is over now. Back to physical therapy. Everything is slowing moving in the right direction.
1st full day of Physical Rehab accomplished after a weekend of orientation and rest. Everything burns but in that good way now. My day is consist of cardio, pulmonary, and strength training with a lil guided meditation thrown in the middle. Healing is going well on all fronts. I consider myself very lucky and grateful. Thanks for all kind words and support. I’m done with March. Bring on April.
The outside air smells amazing. I’m officially out of the hospital and checked into one of the finest rehab facilities in the country. I’m recovering from a severe internal burn and relearning how to live after being in bed for weeks. Things are looking good and everyday I’m making great progress. Thanks for all the love and support people.
"This was a triumph.
I’m making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS.” And on the 25th of March, exactly one month after the accident, I got some pizza hand delivered from my doctor. Making good progress. They already want to kick my butt out to rehab. I think that’s the right direction at this time. I’ve come so far, I will continue to progress. One day at a time.
Progress is being made. Healing is in progress. Suffering helps you become compassionate. This is my sunset.
My view. I took this standing on my own two legs. Baby steps. The worst I hope is over. There will be set backs. I’m making good progress. I have a serous medical support team giving me TLC 24 hours a day. I very lucky. I died. It’s peaceful but boring. Lived thru hell to get to this standing view in a lil less than a month. #Namaste you beautiful people. 👍
